About Me
I’m a believer, wife, mother, and blogger. I’ve spent the last 15 years supporting my former footballer husband, Matt Light and raising our 4 incredible kids.
People who know me must think I’ve really left the reservation by creating this blog. I’ve always been very protective of my family’s privacy and tried to separate my husbands public profile from our everyday lives. So as you can imagine, this is way outside of my comfort zone. Just creating public social media accounts feels like walking around Faneuil Hall in my bathrobe…a bit exposed.
So why blogging?
I created “Keeping the Light House” primarily to distract myself from the intoxicating lure of baby fever. It’s coming for me, it always does. Read more about my struggle with the “fever” in my very first post.
I thought a blog would be a fun way to share what it’s like raising four kids, being married to an overachiever (no seriously, the man never stops), running two households in two different parts of the country, raising chickens, becoming RVers, being a vegetarian hunter’s wife…I could go on and on.
Also, I’ve been really fortunate over the years to have met some incredibly talented people who have shared their beauty, style, home and life advice with me while I’ve focused on my family. Now, I want to show my gratitude by sharing the things I’ve learned along the way.
Welcome to Keeping the Light House!
